My Story

As an Ayurvedic wellness instructor, my name is Cassia Borges. I work to improve people's quality of life by using Ayurveda wisdom and my culinary skills to prioritise healthy routines, wellness, and quality of life.I was born in Brazil and moved to Sydney, Australia, seven years ago. I received my chef degree there as well.  But I didn't feel satisfied. I made a commitment to a holistic development programme where I gained self-awareness, increased awareness of my choices, and unlocked limiting beliefs and imagined traumas. The desire to learn more about Ayurveda then emerged through a career mentorship, as one of the foundations of Ayurveda is to promote healing through diet.

After doing some research, I made the decision to devote even more time to my career. I obtained certifications from Deepak Chopra Education in the USA to teach Ayurveda, also from Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Nutrition in Australia where a learned Ayurveda principles, lifestyle and nutrition advice,  as well as treatments. With all of that, I was able to combine my passions for food, Ayurveda, Self-care, and Spirituality to create Soulveda, a unique business with different projects such as Cooking Course, Mentoring Programs, Retreats, Ayurvedic Catering, Personalised Consults and Treatments.

My Approach

Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of holistic healing, offers a wide range of benefits for overall health and well-being. Its treatments encompass a comprehensive approach to addressing imbalances in the body, mind, and spirit, aiming to restore harmony and promote optimal health. My mission is to promote:

  1. Holistic Wellness: Ayurveda views health as a balance between the body, mind, and spirit. Its treatments focus on addressing the root cause of illness rather than just alleviating symptoms, leading to long-term wellness.

  2. Personalized Care: Ayurveda recognizes that each individual is unique, with their own constitution (prakriti) and imbalances (vikriti). Treatments are tailored to the specific needs of each person, taking into account their unique physical, mental, and emotional characteristics.

  3. Preventive Healthcare: Ayurveda emphasizes preventive measures to maintain health and prevent illness. Through lifestyle modifications, dietary recommendations, and herbal supplements, Ayurveda helps individuals maintain balance and ward off diseases.

  4. Natural Healing: Ayurvedic treatments utilize natural remedies derived from plants, herbs, minerals, and other natural sources. These treatments are gentle, safe, and often free from side effects, promoting healing in harmony with nature.

  5. Detoxification and Cleansing: Ayurveda offers various detoxification therapies, such as Panchakarma, to remove toxins (ama) from the body and purify the tissues. These therapies help improve digestion, boost immunity, and rejuvenate the body.

  6. Stress Reduction and Mental Well-being: Ayurveda recognizes the interconnectedness of the body and mind. Through practices such as meditation, yoga, and stress-reducing techniques, Ayurveda helps calm the mind, reduce stress, and promote mental well-being.

  7. Improved Digestion and Metabolism: Ayurvedic dietary guidelines and herbal remedies support healthy digestion and metabolism. By promoting proper digestion and assimilation of nutrients, Ayurveda enhances overall health and vitality.

  8. Enhanced Energy and Vitality: Ayurvedic treatments aim to balance the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and optimize the flow of energy (prana) in the body. This leads to increased energy levels, vitality, and a sense of well-being.

My approach to service encompass a wide range of modalities, including:

  • Herbal Medicine: Prescribing herbal remedies, decoctions, powders, and oils tailored to individual needs.

  • Diet and Nutrition: Offering dietary recommendations based on one's constitution and imbalances to support optimal digestion and nutrition.

  • Lifestyle Counseling: Providing guidance on lifestyle habits, daily routines, and self-care practices to promote balance and prevent illness.

  • Body Therapies: Administering therapeutic massages, oil treatments, and other physical therapies to detoxify, rejuvenate, and restore balance.

  • Meditation: Incorporating pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation techniques to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Overall, Ayurveda offers a holistic approach to health and healing, emphasizing individualized care, natural remedies, and preventive measures to promote longevity and vitality.
